This course has 4 sessions and a final exam.
Each session must be completed within its scheduled. Heres
what you will do each week:
| 1 |
Read
the web pages for the session. There are two or three
separate activities for each session. Use the "emanipulatives"
(found on the pages) to explore a problem or concept.
|
| 2 |
Respond
to the activities as indicated. The Moderator will respond
to postings by the end of the week by e-mail or bulliten
board postings.
|
| 3 |
Your
moderator may arrange for synchronous meetings, or 'live'
on the web. These will schedule at times most convient
to the class members. Each meeting will be a place to
share insights and questions regarding the current session.
|
You will probably spend between 2 to 4 hours
on each session, though this will vary.
The fifth session will be different; it will be a final assessment.
The assessment will be delivered by email and/or webpage, will
include problems to solve and explain, and will be "open
book, open web, open resource." Feedback will include Pass
or Fail, as well as responses to your work. You may redo the
assessment, if needed, in order to get a Pass. |
