Welcome to WebMath, a mathematics learning community for all middle school teachers. Through our online courses, teachers can brush up on and learn two central concepts underlying the NCTM Standards for middle school and many state math standards.

WebMath offers two courses—Brush up on Linear Functions and Brush up on Proportions. The courses are web-based, include Shockwave programs, can be housed any server, and are used in conjunction with any email system and a threaded forum. Chat and synchronous meetings can fit into the course, too.

Participants should expect to devote an average of two hours per week to the course. Ability to use the web and email, and an interest in deepening one’s mathematical understanding are the only prerequisites.
